The Orange disc only steel version. Don't suppose anybody knows of any new old stock knocking around anywhere.
After a 55cm and can only find it in 57cm after lots of googling.
activesport.co.uk claim to have it (after two clicks through google)
There's a 53 on ebay.
I'd be tempted for the frame, but not thw whole bike (alas out of my current price range)
I found the activesport one a while ago, I have emailed them but I think they order from the importers once the order is recieved, and ison don't have any as is an old product.
Seen the eBay one too but alas it's too small.
Don't mind a second hand at all if I can find one in a 55cm
A very flash plan b. Get the ti version.
Simon who works in the bikemongery has just ordered one and it going to be the best commuter imaginable.
Would a salsa vaya fit the bill? They are orange this year.
Bump
Charlie - would love the Ti version of the la cluz but want the discs as I already have them and he Ti is canti only.
Vaya - just not the same as the la cluz, I already have a lightweight platinum ox frame and love it he Vaya seems a little heavy and generic tubing to be the same
Just had a response from activesport - no 55cm in stock
Anybody else got any ideas?
Phone/email Ison Distribution?
How heavy is the La Cruz? IIRC "quite"?
Ison are out of stock - they stopped making them over a year ago
They were vert light for a steel frame. Ox tubeset is the USA equivalent of 853 but they use it for the stays as well. I think it was back before tange got taken over too.
Ah sorry.
Light steel is sooo good, shame it's on its way out for off road bikes ๐
I know, I have a sub 4lb steel Chromag, it's got modern angles, ride superb and plenty strong enough.
I have a 4.1lb sliding dropout Shand, it is also teh dog's doo-da's.
Ti la cruz Is canti only right now.
But with discs being decriminalised in cross racing it's only a matter of time. 2012???
Seriously. Give me a call or email at Bikemonger at yahoo co uk. And I will call salsa in the US and see if they have any left.
We managed to get the worlds last Dos Niner this way (out of thisworld sweet bike)
