Can someone with Cowbells check out what the effective width of their hoods ends up as?

I realise the listed measurement is where the hoods mount, but I wonder how the twist for the flare changes the effective width.

e.g. c-c at this part of the hoods.

I run 44 on the crosser and they are 44 c-c on the hoods. Lovely bars, great on the drops.

Thanks. Does the twist for the flare turn your wrists in a bit compared to normal road bars?

How wide are they at the end of the drops?

I ran 46's which were 52 at the drops.Bell laps are a short/shallow version with a bit less flare (which I run now).

They twist in a little more I guess. I could have a look against some ENVE bars on another bike.

Great. Thanks, guys. I think I might go for the 40s. Hoods on both my road bikes are just under 40, and with that amount of flare it should offer a reasonable amount of control in the drops.

I've got the 42 and they are 42 at the hoods.... the flare really feels like it happens after the bend, so the levers tilt out a bit more, but they don't twist inwards really, like offroad style bars (ragly or on-one)

I have them on my Shand Stoater... absolutely lovely shaped bars. considering them on my crosser and would put them on my road bike if I didn't have FSA carbon compacts on there, which do tune out road buzz a bit
