What is the minimum vertical height difference that you would run between the nose of your saddle and the top of the top tube?
I've recently acquired a new (to me) Surly Krampus and the riding position is (IMO) spot on with a vertical drop of about 250mm between the top of the nose of the saddle and the top of the top tube.
It feels right when I'm riding but I'm slightly apprehensive about having an unplanned (and very much unwanted) nadgers/top tube interface issue as my previous bikes have had a lower top tube (or higher saddle depending on your viewpoint).
Depends how high the bottom bracket is. (And how long your legs are obviously.)
Don't think any of my bikes have that much clearance.
Good point re BB height, it's 330mm to the centre of the BB but as I'm running it as a half fat 29+ with 3" tyres it does make it quite tall.
