if your budget will stretch and it suits your bike, most brooks saddles are very comfy once you've ridden it in a bit

i really like the low profile saddles - my current one is a ritchey streem, just seems to suit me nicely.

its a personal thing, just need to try a few - buy them cheap as poss and sell them on if you dont get on with them

Find a decent LBS that has demo saddles and ride a few of them. Make a decision on what fits you. Or just get the Spec BG saddle for £20.

I've always liked WTB saddles they are a bit wider and support my arse bones well.

One man's comfy seat is another man's torture. You'll have to try a few out. I like SLR's stripped down to the bare carbon base, most other people who have tried them hate them. Also consider the padding in various shorts that you may own.
Finally, have you been to see anybody about the twitch you have in your fingers? I'm sure you've already noticed but they seem to have had a grand mall on the exclamation and question mark keys.

Brooks - lol - well, see for yourself on this thread:
http://www.singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/anyone-use-a-brooks-saddle

Anyway, get a spesh or at least give it a go - get measured up at your LBS and make sure you're sitting on it properly (a lot of people sit too far forward/back so their sit bones aren't actually on the pads.

Surely the 'what saddle' question always leads to a list of saddles that other people like? What's the point? 🙄

Saddles are one of those things I can justify having a selection of, stashed away for whatever I build up next, as I can like a saddle on one bike, but hate it on another eg Brooks B17 = great on the audax road bike, pointless on the SS MTB.

Best advice I got was just ebay a load of saddles then sell the ones you don't get on with (or keep 'em for the next build if you're like me).

Specialized Body Geometry - go get your sit bones measuread at the local spesh dealer.

I have a WTB Power v comp (I think) that I never use, you can have it for the cost of postage if you want?

I think you should get a new keyboard before a saddle. It seems some of your punctuation keys are sticking!

Chromag Lynx:

I've had one for a 1 yr+ now on a Chromag Samurai and it is very good indeed. Quality and detail is right up there, and comfortable too. Just bought another one for the next project 😉

(Mr MC posting)

as others have said they are very personal. I like WTB and have a Silverado Team Ti picked up off classifieds here, and a WTB Shadow for a whopping 18 quid from CRC which is almost the same weight as the Ti. Minimal padding but the comfort comes from the flexible shell, they fit me and my sit bones, done all day rides on em no problem.

As recommended on forum i've been to Leisure Lakes in Preston, measured me on some Specialised cushion and I've come away with a Phenom, tried it last night just round the garden and it doesn't feel that comfy but going to try again tonight with shorts, he also said if it doesn't feel right and it's not been used bring it back and we'll swop it. TOP BLOKE, GREAT SERVICE would recommend Leisure Lakes
