A couple of weeks ago I was riding in Spain for a couple of days and got pretty saddle sore; on the second day I also had the weird (and slightly worrying) experience of ending up with completely numb tackle. It's kinda cool when you wake up in the night with your arm completely dead; not so much fun when it's other parts of your body...

I'm currently on an On-One saddle that I've had a few years, but obviously am keen to fit a new one that'll avoid this kind of issue again. Any pointers?
Ta

Your local specialized dealer should be able to point you in the direction of a body geometry fitting centre. They measure your pelvis and other such things and recommend a saddle. Not cheap but probably better than numb danglers.

Very comfy saddles IMHO.

No one can really recommend you a saddle - you'll just have to try. Some saddles that work brilliantly for lots of people will make other people completely numb.

FWIW, I have Specialized saddles on all my bikes and plenty of my mates also find them good though you need to be careful to position them right so that you're actually sitting where you're meant to - I've found that typically this is about 1cm further forward than you expect when replacing a different brand's saddle.

yup, I rate the charge spoon myself £22, as you can move about on it for a bit of releif when you need too unlike other old favorites like the SDG Bel Air and the WTB Rocket that I found more of a sit in saddle rather than sit on.

I spotted the concept EX saddle on another thread thats really reasonable at £12 and looks like a Fizik costing loads... both from Wiggle..

Saddles are very personal preference though hence why I have been through a few finding a fav.

If you go for a Selle Italia ( Parkers ,Chicken cycles) you can return them until you find one that suits ( as long as you don't mark or damage them during the test).

I tried out 3 before I decided ,great service ,especially if you are looking at saddles in the higher price range .
