as above really, thinking of running a wire swampy tubeless on a stans crest rim. is it likely to seal? it'd be nice to be putting them away but no chance round here at the mo looking at the forecast

Mine worked really well (2.35 wire singleply) Still weren't very good tyres mind but they sealed lovely.

same tyre, cool. I rate em, there's lots of roots round here and tyres like the trailraker get a bit nervous on them I reckon

much appreciated all. I'm doing the gravity enduro in the fod Sunday & thought I'd put some proper rubber on the bike as it's looking pretty wet

Worked very, very well on my 819/823's. 2.35 st. Sealed with a hand pump. Tyres are amazing if it's wet and slippy, like someone's walking ahead of you drying the trail. They are draggy as anything though.

they're not the fastest, but I'll only be running one on the front. I'll happily sacrifice some climbing speed for grip on the downs

Great for confidence IMO, tubeless on Stans works fine. Bit heavy/draggy to pedal on the back [esp the supertacky] so you're probably right to just do the front. Of course, though, the rear does have some work to do, so you'll also want a decent grippy tyre for the climbs and off cambers. I never really liked the Trailrakers.
Got an old Conti Vertical pro, not a bad rear as long as it's not too sticky? Otherwise the Bonti Mud is good, but narrow / low volume.

Conti's Baron is miles better IMO- works almost as well in pure slop, and it's better at everything else. Miles better on hard stuff, and not as draggy either. DOwnsides are that they're expensive, and a bit of a sod to get them to seal up tubeless!

I found the 42a version fairly tiresome to tubeless and the 60a one impossible, on Flows. What's this about wet at FoD? It's like a desert over here! I was expecting loose fast trails...
