Any suggestions? I have Kenny Wilson's book so will be doing some of those.

Just got back 3 days ago having a week based at Applecross campsite. Its very limiting! Infact hardly worh a 13 hour drive, that said Torridon is around the coast and a bit better. The well known/publisised Torridon circuit is damn good and gives a high mountain feel whenn crossing Bealach Lice pass. Back to Apple then, the ride over to Kenmore is good and thats it. There is a quick coastal blast to Sand that's a there and back ride. You could ride the local walks through the woods ok for a 15 minute blast. We did discover by walking what would be a good short route on the penninsula at Sheildaig.

The best thing about Applecross is its remote location and accessing it by Belach Ne Bahr (ignore my spellings). This is the road in and is Uk's highest road. You may well want to trip over to Skye for a real adventure...

It is a great place to be based if you are planning other activities, better suited to hiking, sea kyaking and beech combing.

Cheers, it's a romantic week in a shore-side remote cottage with my lass, we just fancied a couple of rides, we've done the Torridon big route, and Glen Sligachan (2 day job and stayed at Camasunary-awesome), the Tollie path was one I was going to do, didn't quite understand the route with the streetmap link behind the Applecross Inn on the linked thread.....taking the Canadian canoe, wine and whiskey, should be good!!

could go S on road from Kenmore (*see loop cutoff 2nd looks interesting) and join the lower track (at Inverbain) that goes back W to join the original route - it 'looked' ok (*from what I could see) however the road back would be nice scenery
