[#1009509]

Dig out those water proofs boys and girls.
Stand up and be counted.

nbt is leading a gritty, rocky, hilly, muddy, swoopy, fun filled ride around the lesser known part of the Dark Peak.

All welcome, sociable pace, however a smidgeon of fitness is required ๐Ÿ™‚

Tsk - would love to join in and despite my sometimes abrasive attitude on here I'm fine when riding. However, the crappy little 3 series I have at the moment won't accept my Enduro from any angle, never mind what I take off it.

Don't suppose anyone from the Matlock/Darley Dale area is going with a spare space?

Yup I'm in.

So long as the rain is falling to earth rather than going sideways into your face it'll be more pleasant than last weekend.

is this a 'bringalonga cake ride'?

Arse. Away with the family in Patterdale. Thats 2 rides I've missed now.

There is even talk of me being dragged along to horse riding on Sunday, god forbid.

Have a good one people, I'll be there in spirit.

BBC forecast is currently 'heavy rain shower' - if only they could tell us what time and what duration said shower will be......

oh, hang on...... answers will be 'Sunday, all day long.......'

We had a reccy about 2 weeks ago and it came in at 23.5 miles.
It is very hilly though, so even though that doesn't sound alot, you'll feel like you've done more by the end.
There are places to bail out/cut sections out if needs be.

I'm in unless the Mary Townley ride on Saturday has a competitive edge. In which case, I'll be trying to get the feeling back in my legs on Sunday.

23.5 is the base - we can increase it if need be, but I think we'll be cutting it if anything as the weather is not forecast to be brilliant so the pace may be slower. We can decide on the fly.

Lots of faces coming I haven;t seen for a while, and lots of new faces. Looking forward to it!

I'm almost certainly out. My stunt double to take my daughter to Man City has dropped out and my mate is insisting on the Mary Townley tomorrow no matter what time so that'll be a ridiculously early start, near kill myself riding and get back in time for the match!
Somebody please kill me now.

grumm - was hoping you could come, then we could share notes on our illness situation. Mines under control at the moment. Hope you feel better soon. ๐Ÿ™

barca - I think you'll be fine, it's sociable pace, not a full out, racy, ego fuelled macho ride ๐Ÿ™‚

hp_source - can you bring lots and lots of jelly babies, we've got extra sour haribo.

Sadly J, tomorrows ride is now on a 5'ish (but not much more or I'm snookered) hour schedule so I [s]suspect[/s] know I'll be hobbling on Sunday.
I'll do my best to get there for the start. I was looking forward to it.
