Disk brake equipped carbon forks?
Yep, looks like a [s]gravel grinder[/s] cross bike fork to me.
Doesn't look beefy enough to be the top of a USD fork. Rigid of some sort, then.
Whatever it is, it obviously worked!
Doesn't look as beefy as most carbon road / cx fork crowns either ; )
Fat bike fork..
Carbon Catapult?
bog roll holder
Australia-specific desert fork?
If it is actually an upside-down sus fork, it looks interesting.
Super light upside down xc fork, fat option, gravel option?
This is from FB. Does the bike in the pic have that fork? Looks like it could.

Rockshox finally realising that they could be charging a load of cash for forks with no moving parts. Easy money.
Early leak of an April fools joke (not sure what it is but the ad wording is weird as is Rockshox & rigid forks)???
It's not that weird - DT & White Bros have both made rigid forks.
More that the wording is weird since it suggests something massive ("everything changes") for what looks like a normal rigid fork. That's why I wondered if it might be ironic and an April Fools thing...
Maybe RS are starting to think that suspension is a faff, too expensive and doesn't really add that much to your riding, so they're embracing rigid forks.
I doubt that Singletrack have flown out to Moab for a early April fools product launch! Plus would you bother for a ridged fork?
New leaf fork/wheel thing gadget?
Good shout Andy, seems plausible
Like a lauf? Or perhaps SRAM bought lauf?
yeah.... they are slightly over-egging it if it's just a carbon rigid fork, and the upside-down ref wouldn't make any sense.
And would they also go to Moab to test a rigid fork? Dunno, but seems a bit too gnarr for that.
I am going for some sort of inverted bouncer, although the pic does just look like a carbon cross fork 😕

Carbon Catapult?
POSTED 5 HOURS AGO # REPORT-POST
Every so often STW really needs a 'like' button... 🙂
TBF, it would be a bit of a surprise for Rockshox to launch a non suspension fork...
It's a revolutionary new saddle
Or just a carbon fork designed specifically for the Australian market
Does that look like an access port for an allen key or somesuch thing on the nearest leg? I'm going to go with an uspide down telescopic fork with a brand new 45.7mm oversize through axle standard......
I'm going to go with an upside down telescopic fork
Agreed. That's decided then?
Presumably an upside-down fork with a modern one-piece carbon steerer/crown would alleviate some of the stiffness issues with old inverted forks. So my money's on a short (ish) travel lightweight Inverted XC fork.
RS wouldn't release rigids - they'd be SRAM or Truvativ- branded if they were to exist.
I think the upside down fork might mean turning things on its head. Hence the everything changes bit.
Look at the background
Presumably an upside-down fork with a modern one-piece carbon steerer/crown would alleviate some of the stiffness issues with old inverted forks.
I thought the problem was, without an arch, the stiffness of the lowers depended on the axle bracing the sliders together? Isn't that why Maverick went for a huge axle?
On the mavericks there's only really the twist direction that there is any play. In every other dimension, they are stiffer than normal forks (that's the DUC though - I haven't tried the SC32s).
There are a few other upside-down forks around.
X-Fusion - Not out quite yet:

Carver (which I think is available):

11Nine fat bike fork:

Fat bikes seem to be a driver for some of these, but I'd like to try the X-Fusions.
Definitely looks more like Lauf. If it is it would be interesting to see if SRAM marketing can turn around the product's success from slightly mixed reviews and quirky interest to the game changer they seem to claim.
You must be having a lauf
road, disk, rigid carbon is my guess.
hence the 'world of mountain biking' - they're moving to road.

Yep, looks likely to me as well. Possibly with a Maxle variant as well.
maxle for sure, let me guess theyve teamed up with shimano and introducing a new 13.5mm road axle standard
Wouldn't that hinder quick wheel changes in races?
They already file off the lawyer tabs to speed things up.
Half of me wants to see them try another crazy Roubaix-specific fork.
I cant believe people sit and analyse shit like this to the nth degree.
