just got the alpine back together. putting the front wheel in (fr2350) to the new forks and i notice something wrong with the maxle. its done up tight but there is 2mm sitting proud on the lever side. the maxle is hitting the hub before its all the way in. so the fork lower can move left and right. any one else had this problem? never an issue on the old for (36 van). a 2mm washer would sort it but that shouldnt happen should it???
back the qr bit off. it's probably grabbing the hub on the way through. if that doesn't sort it you may to just pull the maxle apart and grease it.
My Lyric maxel does this too, I just put an o-ring on the maxel to take up the slack..
all is assembled in the correct way. its like part of the maxle is too long! o ring was my plan. cheers guys.
