Hi,
Does anyone know which year and model this Lyrik is? Item no 190831894027. The seller doesn't seem to know, despite me asking.
I'm after a coil fork for a hardtail, but I'd like 150mm only. I would go for Sektors, but I want stiffer stanchions, hence looking at the Lyrik. Is the quality of the travel affected if you permanently leave the U turn in 150mm all the time? I'm not sure if its designed for that, or whether its purely used just to reduce the travel when climbing.
Cheers
08/09 ish and fine at 150 all the time.
Thanks for the quick reply. Probably want a newer one, so glad I asked.
Then again, irritatingly, they don't make it coil anymore....

Really? Shame, I had been saving up for some. Do you know when they stopped making them in coil?
Looks like our German friends still have them.
Due to the confusing Rockshox website, I'm unclear on whether you can still get the Lyriks in coil full stop or not.
What does seem to be the case is that you can't get the 115-160 Coil U turn anymore. Also I can't find any 2013 coil rockshox on CRC, wiggle, leisure lakes etc, whereas I can always see loads of Air Lyriks available from new.
I run mine at 145 a lot of the time, and they're perfectly happy. Similar age to those ones, awesome fork.
Thanks, that's good to know that yours are a similar age. I figure even if you buy an old set, you can even get a company like TF tuned to put in the latest damper etc
There's not been that much variation in Lyriks anyway, they got it right quite a while ago and haven't messed with it much. Mico DH is better thna standard Mico but you can remove the poplock to get a similiar result. Springs went up to 170mm but the older chassis are (mostly? All?) able to do the same.
