'09 sids - when do they need servicing, where would you recommend and how much is it going to cost me????
thanks
From what I was told, oil service is required every 50 hours of riding. Depending what you get done in the service. This all depends on how much use they have had and service history. I got a lesson last night through my local bike club from a lbs on how to carry out an oil service and it looks very easy tbh. If you need that cartridge serviced it need to be done by a professional.
Have a look here and it will help you with all the service intervals

I am going to get into the habit of doing an oil service on my Fox Talas roughly every 25hours and RS Reba roughly every 50 hours and get a full service every 6-12 months. an oil service will only cost you a few quid and take about 25 mins to complete once you know what you are doing a, and a full service will cost you c.£75 quid including new seals. some people may think this service routine is excessive, others will think its not enough but I think it will do for my riding style.
Doesn't answer your question I know but just thought I would pass on a bit of useful information I got. the main bit of advice I got that will help you is to read the service manual carefully and watch the videos in youtube for help if you need it.
Sorry for the hijack, but when I emptied the air chambers refilled oil came out of the valve. I assume it was oil anyway. Is this normal? I've never had that on a fork before but it's my first pair of Rockshox so not really sure?
Crell, yes very normal, it's used to lubricate that part of the fork, assuming you mean the negative chamber? Only has 15ml on there. You can always put the fork upside down first, that'll make the oil run away from the valve.
