I know its not a legal requirement to say hello - I know I'm going to get slated for this 😕 - Went for a road ride yesterday as it was so nice - MTB went out Saturday 😉 Said hello to 2 roadies in full matching white team kit, shades and boutique bikes (not that there is anything wrong with that!!) - I thought I had turned invisible so I had to look in a car mirror afterwards to see if it was true - Thankfully it wasn't - not that I am vain.
Having seen quite a few riders that afternoon on tourers and one tandem MTB all were very friendly and said hello am I right in labelling a minority of roadies as a 'bit snobby'. That not to say MTB'rs can't be like that and also Joe public but I find it more frequently in the racing roadie fraternaty ( I class myself as a MTB'r who likes road riding :). Perhaps I see more roadies and thus I remember the 'very serious ones'.
Yes I know people don't have to say hello but its just more sociable?
Would be interested in views of people who don't like saying hello back so I can understand why?
Running away............
