[Closed] Roadies: cap recommendations for a bloke's large head

Saw a rather nice herringbone one but don't reckon he'd wear that. A Rapha cap was too small apparently.

Any recommendations appreciated. Thanks. 🙂

Campag ones fit my ~60cm head very nicely, £5 a pop at Planet-X 🙂

New gentleman friend, CG? 😉

You know what they say about chaps with large heads, don't you?

(Oh, and a Buff is the only thing to wear under a helmet, regardless of the format of riding. Unless he's a fixieridingasshat. In which case, dump him)

That's not a big head!

63cm + is big!

Walz?

63cm = 25" = Walz L/XL

Average male head circumference is ~57cm, so 60cm is larger than average. 63cm is deformed though w_d, have you seen a doctor? 😉

63cm is deformed though

Thats nothing. I have a large Giro Remedy, fits fine, on another thread someone said it was too small for them! 🙂

Thanks for the replies but no thanks for speculation. Yes, that means you Cap'n. 😉

Well, he did get sucked into the Rapha aspirational tosh but I soon put him right. 😀 His Rapha cap is too small, well he's hardly a miniscule Italian. 😉

Have now seen some cord ones, dare I?

I find the Prendas ones too big, and they're cheap as the proverbial chips. My head is average sized I would have thought...

Try these guys, they do made to measure. I do not own one, a riding companion does.

FHHV ones are large fitting, and money goes to a good cause. Probably not as trendy as a cord one though.

Prendas ones seem to be getting bigger.
The Planet X ones with their logo are bigger.

I had a cord Walz bighead cap and I found the bill too large. I'm on the cusp of normal/deformed at 59cm but two-storey forehead so end up with large being too baggy and OSFA being tight normally. That said I can wear a Rapha one with some luft.

I struggled to find ones to fit my swede, tried pro team ones to no avail and even one from trip to alpe d'huez was too small. That is until I picked up some blue shimano ones at the bike show an they fit like a dream!

Sure I picked up a few so happy to send you one.

PM me your details if you want one

I've got a couple of Cinelli ones that are a more relaxed old-skool fit.
