OK, here are the criteria:
- wearable on summer evening rides that vary from hot to a slight nip in the air, into the night (for anyone familiar with the original Gore Phantom N2S, a summer version of that)
- the above implies at least a bit of windproofing, but light fabric
- wearable on its own (ie nice and comfy, preferably not full length zip)
- long body, long sleeves, slim fit (no flapping!)
That'll do for now. Ideas?
What about just adding armwarmers and light gilet to a s/s jersey?
Too gimpy ๐
and wearing a long sleeve top on hot summer nights is not gimpy?
Merino fits the bill bar the wind proofing.
ground effect submerino (are baselayers really, so no pockets if that matters) plus a cheapo gilet for me
(oh, and a ballgag obviously)
