I know this would be best answered on a road forum but ive not had any joy posting there! I'm after a fork for Genesis Equilibrium build, the stock Genesis fork is no good as the colour of the currently available one is different from the frame, though I'm struggling to find one that's the right spec.

I've come across the Columbus Hiver fork on their site which fits all the specs and looks on paper a lot better than the other forks available, but I can't find any information anywhere other than the Columbus site, so while it looks good on paper, dunno if it is any decent? Can anyone shed any light.

Alternatively if anyone can suggest a good 375mm ac, 45mm rake carbon road fork, that would be great.

Sorry I've no knowledge of that particular fork but Columbus is a brand you can trust and their products are very good. Their Minimal fork for example is excellent and can be found on many excellent frames.

Normally you buy frame and fork together so I'm curious as to why you dont have a fork.

It's an outside option but I have a 15 month old very light use equilibrium due for sale next week. It's frame and fork, in metallic cherry red with a green CK headset, Thomson Masterpiece post, Condor deep drop brakes, and Ultegra front mech. I've upgraded having got back into road riding. The equilibrium was the test the water bike I put together.

I'm thinking frame fork and headset at £250 which would be the same as just a fork I guess. Frame is in very good condition. If you're interested drop me an email.

Thanks but no thanks for the offer. I've got an Equilibrium 853 on order which comes with steel fork but I'm set on carbon, hence needing to buy seperate.

I didn't know they did an 853 version. I've heard there is a 953 coming but isnt that a race frame that will need different forks?

EDIT ah so they are doing an 853 version. Very nice. The columbus fork will look very nice. Enjoy.

Yes, it does look very nice. Got a standard Equilibrium at the moment and love it, but the old 520 frame is a bit industrial so very much looking forward to this.

Seems the Hiver is a new model which is why I can't find any info anywhere, my other option is to get the +5mm crown race that Chris King do which should raise the front end enough to use a more standard fork length of 367mm and bring it closer to the 375mm I need. Has anyone tried that with any success?
