I was looking at a picture of the Fulcrum racing 3 wheels, with the big difference in spokes on the back wheel, and remembered reading in a book published in the 1980s about using a 4 cross spoke pattern for very stiff wheels.
Has anybody experimented with 2 cross on the non drive side and 4 cross on the drive side, would it be the same weight as a normal 3 cross wheel but be more eficient?
Or would it not build into a very deacent wheel, and be too lop sided and too difficult to keep well trued?
If i can find somebody to build them they'd be open pro rims on new black Record or old silver Chorus hubs,i havn't quite decided yet.
Has anybody any thoughts?
Cheers
Tim
