So I replaced my old Tiagra shifters with shiny new 105s. The old ones had a side exit for the shift cable but the new ones apparently come out of the back. Except. I can't figure out where I thread the cable. Does anyone know where this goes?

There is a installation guide on shimanos website which shows where it goes. Slightly different on left and right. Go to products, find the shifters, and its one of the tech docs listed.

Little hole on the underside just underneath the rubber cover, slightly to the outside. Have fun pushing it through, it rarely goes where you want it to 🙂
