I'm guessing not but, is there anyway to use road style cleats on 4 bolt mtb shoes, some kind of conversion kit or something?

Long story short, brought some road specific shoes not realising the 3 bolt cleat pattern, need new pedals, I'd like to use my current mtb shoes for commuting duties if poss without changing pedals every 5 minutes.

Thanks!

Regardless of the bolt pattern I think you'll struggle to get the cleat next to the bolts due to the grips on the base of the shoe. Shimano cleats anyway, they're pretty big.

Road shoes have a totally smooth sole usually. I did speak to a cobbler lady once about this and she said its quite common for people to bring in mountain bike shoes to have a smooth sole put on.

Think they're supposed to be for popping MTB cleats on road shoes but I cannit see why it wouldn't work the other way around.
