Hi All
Can anybody recomend a shop/mechanic in the northwest, nearer to bolton the better for road bike servicing and wheel builds
Cheers
Paul Hewwits at Leyland, not the closest but I've gone for years and found it excellent
Again not exactly on your doorstep but Eddie McGrath cycles in Urmston is a great roadie shop.
Cheers gents
Hewitts is a place I had in mind, I've heard good things especially about wheels builds, but it is a little out of the way hence the question.
As for Eddie's that's near my work place so it may just be the ticket
I'll give them both a bell on Monday, let's hope they will touch Di2!
life-cycles on chorley old road has a good wheel builder apparently.
Di....wot?
Jeff for gods sake.
And MK cycles.
I always travel to DJ Cycles Holcombe Brook (10mins from Turton) - for all bikes - mtb/rd/cx
he'll squeeze you in and is honest and knows his stuff
the others are good but probably be waiting longer to get seen (if they take on the job in the first place)!
he recently replaced a few spokes and trued a seriously wobbly wheel for me in no time at all.
I've been let down by life cycles before, they could not true my wheel during a service as they do not have a Mavic spoke key
Not a great experience in MK either when I was trying to buy a new bike, but to be fair that was a while ago and I think it may have changed ownership
Geoff Smith only does mechanical (not Di2)
Seconded Damian at DJ Cycles. He needs the work too.
Thanks Sefton , Globalti
I'll take a look at DJ cycles, I can't seem to find a webpage though
I'm in BX so not far at all
Yep - I don't bother with anywhere else!
