Anyone been and have any comments, experiences they care to share? I 'd be mainly looking at lift-assisted riding, although I could probably winch my SX Trail upwards within reason.

I'd be a solo traveller, by the way.

Absolutely excellent!

The riding is fantastic, they tailor it to suit abilities and it's probably the most fun riding you could do anywhere. It's either a mix of uplifted and a little climbing or sometimes completely uplift. Descents that last 30 mind +, from fast and flowing to loose to rocky to jumps and drops.

The food is plentiful at the hotel and the guides and other locals friendly.

I've been twice and I want to go back again!

Hotel typically Italian.
But
Riding Brilliant
Food excellent.
Guides really good.
Trails excellent.
And Ady and Jo really, really ,really want you to have a good time.
90% of height gain in a van.
Oh, and the trails are excellent, varied, technical, superfast fun.
SX trail good choice to take if you want to stay relatively fresh thru the week.

Cheers folks, sound like a good time then.

What's the deal with the hotel? I assume all the guests stay in the same one do they? As a solo traveller, socialising with others on the holiday is fairly important IMO. What about bike facilities (storage, workshop etc)? I realise I could find this out on the website, but while you are all here... ๐Ÿ˜›

Thanks for the input.

Think they have all new bike storage.
On a social level. If you weren't eating, sleeping or riding you were in the bar opposite the hotel.

All the guests stay in the same hotel and you'd normally get picked up from the airport along with a few others arriving around the same sort of time, so you get chance to meet some of the others before dinner. Its normally 6+ at a table in the hotel and about 4-5 courses with wine or a beer.

If you're on your own then I think you can pay a single supplement or often just share a room with another solo traveller.

There's a bar opposite the hotel. Haven't been on my own but others have been while we've been there and it all ends up being fairly inclusive and social - Ady and Jo make ace hosts too.

Bike storage is a large secure workshop with bike stands, racks and tools. Its a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. Its all a bit disorganised in the workshop but there's plenty of room to fettle your bike alongside numerous others, space for bike bags etc etc. Best take any special tools you might need though. Ady normally has a stock of tyres and tubes you can buy if needed.

Wait a minute.........

You get to live in Italy

Ride mountainbikes every day

Have a propper workshop/man cave

And drive a Fulvia?

In which of the religions did you opt to sell your soul to the bad guy? Seriously?

I've only done a day with them but it was a graet days riding and they jammed a lot in for us. I'd be more than happy to go back again for a week and see more of what they have to offer.

I met Jo on a ride in the Surrey Hills, she was just picking up her new Zesty. She is delightful and a good rider and from speaking with her they have a good setup and are passionate about their guests having a great holiday.

For awesome singletrack I reckon it's the best riding i've done anywhere, tho a road trip round bc slightly nudges it for overall experience.

We went a three years ago in autumn and it was properly stunning, largely did lift assisted riding - it's like doing your favourite stretch of woodsey singletrack but multiplied by 10km. Then you get in a bus and do an equally amazing bit.

Suffice to say we're going back in June!

I'm going in October with a bunch of mates. Never been before and want to do mainly uplifted riding so booked the AM week. Will I be better off in a full face or xc lid?

Nice workshop ady, is it in the same place...?

XC + pads would be my suggestion. You've got to balance ruining your face against having a heart attack in a sweaty mess. We all rode with XC lids in 09 in october, there were bits when i'd have felt better with my full face on, but equally there were more bits where it would have been horrific.

Been twice now and will be back. The riding is superb, the location, guiding, accommodation and hospitality are spot on.

I have been a couple of times.

Riding is great but at times can be pretty technical, most days you are using the vans for uplifts unless you've been naughty the night before in the bar, and are forced into climbing up some mountains ๐Ÿ™

Food in restaurant is good and I can recommend the house Red

Bar over the road is fantastic, Jessica and the other girls behind the bar really look after you (free food).... be careful though as the Jagermeister measures are big!!

I do have another option that I am waiting to see whether or not it comes to fruition, but if not, then it looks like I may be Riviera bound 8)

Did 4 days with them last year while working in Finale Ligure and its fantastic - trails are awesome, tight, tech and the valley is insanely beautiful. Food is so plentiful I found myself not eating lunch so that I could finish dinner. If you get the chance check out Finale too, I'll be working there again in 2 weeks give us a shout if you need any info.
