I'm thinking of having a go at the ritchey enduro in May .
Has anybody rode one before? I was wandering what's the best bike to use.
Do you really need a 140mm+ travel (yeti 575 type)or would something a bit lighter with less travel be better. i e.
Scott spark (110 travel) ?
100mm carbon hard tail last time. Not very techie riding tbh. Last year it was a bit wet! Go with whichever bike you enjoy most really, although I'd got for the spark.
It's not an enduro really btw
I just came back from Mid wales and have been riding a rigid 29er 1x9. It was perfect for me and it's what I'll be riding at the Ritchey trail masters. It's perfect for all the hills but I may change my front cog to a 34t from a 36t.

I'd say an xc bike as this is more of a multi-stage xc race than a true Enduro event. A 140 is just going to sap energy.
