Any particular rim tape preferences (mtb 29er, (still) not tubeless... don't start)?
Thanks.

Even when I'm using tubes, I use stans tape, mostly because I have it lying around but it works and it weighs nowt, and no danger of getting it squint when changing tyres etc.

Electrical tape works well, and is cheap!

Yup, ended up being my go-to for years without a hitch

Electrical Tape. Replaced traditional rim tape with it now- comes off clean when it needs replacing, and doesn't go squint.

1 inch wide Gorilla tape or Nylon-reinforced packing tape.

If you want to do it 'properly' I still think the best is Velox fabric rim tape.

Quite like the snap-fit offerings from Schwalbe/Bontrager etc
