i'm about half-way through my tour on my way to Rotterdam.
what are the bike paths like in Holland and are they well sign posted?
have ridden along the Lahn and Rhein rivers in Germany and, while the routes are well sign posted so of the paths aren't ideal for skinny road tyres. some of the paths are too rough or the tree roots have broken up the surface. i ended up riding on the road for much of the time.
currently killing time in Wuppertal. i got a puncture yesterday and ripped open my rear tyre. ended up jumping on the train and then didn't manage to get to a bike shop in time and now have to wait until tomorrow morning when the bike shops reopen.
Bike paths in holland are btriliant and well surfaced - I am just back from a 2 week tour
What you need to find are the LF routes - threa re 3 diffenet systems - red signposted routes that are the quickest way around - green routes in long distance and local network flavours that are traffic free and scenic.
landelijke fietsroutes. Local routes join up with the LF-Routes. All are marked on maps produced by ANWB.

We used the local netwook mainly - there are number mapboards at teh junctions of routes - every few KMs - this gives you directions to teh next numbered map board. They all link up into a huge network of paths. Tehre are markers / direction arrrows on postes between the map boards as well
So look out for green numbered signs and green mapboards and pick your routes from them.

yup... used that site (surprising how much Dutch i could understand, but then it's quite similar to german). i've now got a list of each of the points i needs to reach. 120km from Nijwegen (HTF do you pronounce that?) to Rotterdam.
means i'll have one and a half days to lose in the coffee shops.
