Being lazy here but a fair few of us with similar lack of skills are heading down to Afan in a few days (Thursday - Sunday) from Manchester area.
Thinking of hitting either Cannock or Forest of Dean on the way down instead of CYB, Cwm Rhaeder is on the last day don't worry!
Are there any other gems or must do's kind of on route?

Agree on Blaengarw as you are in the area. On route down I'd look at the Climax near Machynlleth, mainly for the final descent, serious fun!

Cheers. Liking Blaengarw mainly because of the name but it's short & looks good too. Especially as i'll be tired from sleep the whole journey down 🙂
