Hi all, I am keen to hear from anyone who owns one of the above (or any very light flat bar road bike). I realise that all the roadies out there will just say get a proper road bike, but I really like the idea of flat bars, low weight and ultra powerful brakes....for some strange reason.

I've already had a brief but fun test ride on an R25 and I can see myself on my relatively short commute blasting along, weaving through the cars and pedestrians and Sasquatches and dragons and so on, but I am keen to hear from owners of this or similar bikes as, well, how shall I put it - it's a bit of a strange fruit and not exactly your usual commuter.

See here for an opinion on it. Also a wee bit of info here when I was trying to decide what to buy for commuting. I ended up with a flat bar Merida Speeder T1 which I am very happy with.
