I've been lucky enough to get somewhere around 300kms under my belt in the last week or so.
Yesterday I walked 20kms+ and my legs now hurt.
Would it be a bad idea to go for a ride today, or should I just have a rest day? Would I be risking damage?
Next week should be another good week for riding, so not really too bothered...

Recovery ride perhaps, just go for a gentle spin.

If you tell yourself you are only going to be pootling along then you will be fine.
