Having a clear out for ebay and getting rid of monos,m4's etc.
With the black/gold monos, the black is quite dull, because they're for the most part 15+ years old.
Trollull 0000 wire wool, which is very very soft, and a very fine burnishing cream like brasso,Tcut or autosol, working in a gentle rubbing action across the whole brake, lettering etc doesn't affect the ano, as in isnt rubbing it off, but is imparting a very nice shine.
That said, along the edges I think care should be taken, but overall the effect is quite good. And these are reasonably tatty with enough scratches as it is, but with the dull black it looked very very tatty and when shined back up, the scratching doesnt appear as noticeable ๐
Sure its there, but overall looks a lot better.
Normally i rub at it to completely remove the ano, but i though to try to work it gently and see if i could do what burnishing creams do which is polish a dull surface. I thought that normally the work to get it all off can take a while, so maybe some light work would shine, but not cut through.
This is of course black, not sure if other colours would revitalize as well ๐
Good to know. Cheers for sharing.
