Has anyone successfully managed to fix a Reverb where the lever won't push and the post is stuck in the up position? I've just fitted it to a new frame and bled it (it's a stealth one) and despite trying to use more strength than is really appropriate can't get the lever to depress.
Any tips? The bleed was good and I got all the air out.
Have you moved the post in the frame since the bleed, sounds like the symptoms of a kinked hose other than you being able to bleed it.

Yep had this a few weeks ago. Kinked hose was the cause
The bleed was easy, would that be affected by a link? It may be trapped by a suspension pivot but there's no space in the frame for kinks, it has internal routing with a tube inside the downtube just big enough for the hose.

Bleed would be affected by a kink, that's why I asked if you'd moved it since. The general cause of kinks is pushing the post into the frame without pulling the excess hose through at the same time, usually occuring in the seat tube.
Has seatpost been moved? Is it perhaps clamped too tightly?
The seatpost has not been moved since the bleed, in fact it was happening before the bleed.
I thought it might be the clamp being done up too tight so undid it all the way and still no joy. I don't think the lever pin is bent either, I'm genuinely stumped.
I had an issue like that...sent back and lever was replaced...worked for 5 weeks then post failed and was replaced.
Well, I've now fettled the hose a bit and the lever now moves but the post is still stuck. One last bleed then it's off to Fishers I think.
How have you bled a stealth while installed? You have to do both ends...
Edit: which is why I have the dehy cable conversion kit. Hydraulic remotes are shite.
Seatpost out of frame into workstand set as low as it will go then lean the bike against the workstand.
and it works out of the frame but not in it?
I can't tell out of the frame. Can't apply enough pressure to the saddle.
if its clamped in the workstand you should be able to push it down.
Sounds very much like a kink in the hose in the seat tube when it's put back into the bike-we see it every week in the workshop.
Either that or too much grease internally, not allowing the correct oil flow, although we've only ever seen that once on a brand new post.
Solved it. It turns out some berk hadn't tightened the connection enough after threading the hose through the frame. ๐ณ
There's no connectamagig so I had to take everything off then reinstall it to do the routing. When I bled it for the second time it worked a couple of times with a big squelching noise then gave up, so I figured there was a leak and that was it. Problem solved, thanks for your input everyone but this time it was user stupidity rather than a flaw.
Will be checking mine for user error tomorrow too then.
Bled Friday, worked until last half hour of ride Saturday.

So, hijacking a bit. My reverb was seemingly stuck up the other day but it sometimes does work. More often than not I can't press it down unless I bounce on it a bit with me bum.
I've bled it twice now, checked the air. Sometimes it works beautifully, sometimes not. It's what you call an intermittent fault.
I have to stay it feels a little crusty/notchy when it works.
It's under a year old. Back for warranty?
@kayak - if it's within warranty I'd send it back. Wouldn't be surprised if you get a new model.
