What do folk do, cut the hose short enough so that you need to remove the remote to pull the seatpost out of the frame, or stuff some extra hose into the frame so that the post can removed easily?

I've just fitted a new post, and cant easily push the extra cable into the frame for some reason, so thinking of cutting shorter this time.ย  Any reason not to do that (I dont have a Connectamajig - pretty confident it's all fitted properly, but might need to pull back out to bleed or check the barb, as it's very close to the bike's main pivot).

Shorten it. Otherwise it'll rattle.

Ive never shortened mine

Ive always fed it back into the frame at the head tube end, making the cable loop back and forth inside the frame, this way it dosent rattle around

Never had any issues or rattles in the 4 years its been like this

Just cant get this one to loop.ย  Also, the old cable I removed, which I had been forcing back in at the head tube, was almost severed (somehow...).ย  Thinking that I might cut the cable as short as possible, especially as the 1X lever is easy to remove.
