Howdo
I have a reverb which has the sagging issue. The upside down trick doesn't work so ive looking at looking at resetting the oil level.
Does anyone have a guide to just doing the oil level, rather than a full service.
Cheers
paul

I had three of these with the droop. It's a while since I did these but I bought the tools, IFP height tool, Oil height tool & Bleed tool. I used Shimano mineral oil & did the bushes whilst the posts were apart using bearing material from Bearing Boys cut down to the correct size.

I didn't replace any of the seals as they all looked like they were in good condition. All of my posts have the aluminium IFP and I re-used these with the original seals.

I followed the SRAM Youtube guide to the letter and all three posts now work properly....no sag! which really surprised me as I'd expected the sag to return quickly.

I didn't buy the vice blocks and undid the top cap with post still in the frame by half a turn doing the same for re-assembly. The lower seal head requires the air shaft to be held securely and I made blocks out of hardwood lined with a rag which worked well.

Straightforward enough job, take your time and follow the instructions.

As above but I prefer to use the Sram written instructions though. Worth reading through first as there's quite a lot you don't need to do to just set the oil height and cure the sag. The oil height tool is easy to make with a syringe, hose and a length of tube.
The Ifp setting tool is so cheap it's not worth making.
