Are they ok to use with a sleeve? Looking at options for a doner bike to build a rocket...

If you mean shim - apparently not ok- I seem to remember reading in the RS manual that its not recommended. Not tried it though - so maybe its marketing bull?

might be, but they are very sensitive to clamping force which might be the problem

They state in the manual not to shim them,not to grease them,friction paste them and tighten to 6.7nm at the seatclamp.
I shim both of mine (Both different brands) so I can use them in two different bikes. I'm willing to pay the price if I have problems.
