Has anyone had a Reverb from bike-Discount.de recently? Just wanted to check what you actually get. The listing at the €209 price shows a silver collar version and states no bleed kit, but it does say 2012 manufacture which I thought would mean the one with the black collar?

Can anyone who has bought from them clarify what actually arrives?

Cheers
Rio

AFAIK the 2012 model has the choice of a silver or black collar.

2011 = silver collar
2012 = black collar

As I understand it, those 'cheap' ones bike-discount are selling are 2011 posts with 2012 internals.

I don't think it's black and white. I got a replacement Reverb from Fishers that was stamped as a 2012 with a silver collar, but they sent me the wrong one. The next replacement was a black collar one, also 2012.

I also ordered one on Monday, I'm expecting a 2012 with silver collar and no bleed kit. I got the email today to say it has been dispatched, no idea when it will arrive though

My 2012 replacement from Fishers (received a couple of weeks ago) also had a silver collar and came with a bleed kit too, so you never know how lucky you may be....

My 2012 MMX Right hand one arrived today - for 209 Euro - it specified a bleed kit included & limiter included, and it was. Black collar too.

Link below is the one I ordered, there are several versions on the site.

Interesting.
I have a 30.9 ordered from the german site for one of my bikes and received a 31.9 from merlin today for another bike.

Out of the box, the merlin one needs bleeding (very slow return, only about 70%) but has black collar, no silver clamp as per photo above. It didnt come with a bleed kit, but luckily have one already but need to buy the fluid. The merlin one cost me 188.

Will be interesting what the german version turns up with,

Mine came from Bike De about 4 weeks back.

Advertised as 2012 no bleed kit.

It has a silver collar and the only obvious serial number ends in 11 not 12.

It's bloody brilliant 🙂

@honourablegeorge, that website is completely different from the one I ordered from, looks like i may have messed up as this site definitely has a silver collar and states no bleed kit for the same price of 209€. Gutted

Ah, so it is - are you too late to cancel?

Customer service is generally very good with the german sites, try contacting them if it hasn't shipped yet.

It shipped on Tuesday. Apart from the bleed kit, is there any reason why the black collar could be better? Are we thinking that the silver is a 2011 model?

I'm not going to return it and order the same as honourablegeorge unless it's worth it

On a different note, anyone know how long they take to arrive? Mine was shipped on tuesday and I'm hopeful that I can have it by next Tuesday...

Mine arrived from bike-discount.de today and includes full bleed kit and is in original box. Black version including alloy/silver collar.

Note: Remember to pump up to 250psi with shock pump. My other unit from merlin needed pumping up on delivery. Which it doesnt mention in the manual.

I take it Comes under a world wide warranty so can be repaired in the uk if it goes wrong. I ask as I ve just been caught out with an x fusion HiLo bought from Germany. UK distributor refused to repair foc ,so had to send it back to Germany where it has been for the last 6 weeks or so.

That's what I'd say if I were leisure lakes. Best ask SRAM.

It's also worth me mentioning, my post from bike.discounts.de is a black collar with bleed kit, and arrived within 72 hours of ordering. Exactly the same as pictured above by HG

What's the best version of the reverb to buy, someone mentioned running the hydraulic switch under the handlebars or something?

Any suggestions / info?

Wondering the same, is it best to run the right lever on the left under the bars?

A left wont work on the right because the hose interferes with the brake lever/gears.
A left inverted under the left can be used with the finger on a 1x9,10 set up but that could hinder braking.
I had a play tonight.
hope that helps
