I've just fitted a new Reverb Stealth, shortened the hose and given it a bleed. The actual dropping action is fine, but the lever doesn't return fully, or does so very slowly after it's been pressed. According to SRAM's instructions, once you've bled the posts, if you press the lever 5 or so times it should return fully and if it doesn't, the system isn't full. It's this bit I can't get right.
I've bled the post in every way I can think of - following SRAM's instructions, ignoring them completely, doing what I'd do for brakes ... no luck. As I say, it works fine, no leaks or anything, so I'm guessing I've just not got all the air out. Anyone got any thoughts or tips that might help? Ta.
Speed control set to slow pre bleed? Hook up the syringe and press the lever and you should get fluid (and any air) going into the syringe. The lever will stay depressed until you push down on the syringe. When you push the syringe the lever should extend. Do this a few times and close the bleed port.
Apologies if you’ve already done all the above! If it’s still not working I’d remove the post and bleed that end again to be safe...
