Blatently nicked from the Dirt site but check out [url= http://dirtmag.co.uk/worldcup/category/Videos/mont-sainte-anne-world-cup-15-years-ago/dirt-1235449.html ]this video[/url] of the 1994 Mont St Anne World Cup including a very young looking Rob Warner and winner Jurgen Beneke in fulll x/c kit, sans armour.
Love to see what Sam et al would make of the course with just a couple of inches of travel . . . reckon he'd still be faster 8) .

Reminds me of bunking off school to go and watch it on Eurosport, then riding up to Clay Lane field with some bamboo polls to practice 'racin'

That was just crazy...! those bikes looked like they were bouncing all over the place, huuuuge spring rates + under-damped with v-brakes and 2 inch tyres. V brave..!

It's a completely different sport now.
