ok not my retirement but my good friend Johns. Tomorrow(saturday) will be the start of four days of southwest riding .Quantocks, Woodbury Common , Exmoor and Dartmoor .Open to anyone who wants to join us. It wont be tough rides just fun routes and banter.

todays riders hammered the Qs in the raging heat. Day one sorted.

and today we rode woodbury common, lovely fast single track lined with gorse bushes . Another meag hot ride but great fun , oh and we ended up in the pub !

should be great. i've got tomorrow off...and would have been up for joining you, if i hadn't developed a chest infection whilst on holiday (flipping typical eh?). i can just about climb the stairs now without having to stop for a breather, so i think hawcombe might be a bit too much for me a the moment!

have a good ride, if JB is being too smug about retirment would you push him off into the stream for me? ๐Ÿ˜€

me an gf were planing on heading up to exmoor tomorrow.Think we were planning a trip to ride lynton an valley of rocks think route is about 22k. How far are you guys planning to ride mr knottie ,) we might change our minds..

well I reckon about 20 miles ish . start in porlock ,hawkscombe ,aldermans barrow, dunkery beacon.(loose stoney) brockwell , dunster path to webbers post then tuckers to horner woods . back up grannies and drop back via the trail behind burrowhayes campsite . Phew , my legs ache already . 3.5 mile climb to start but wont be at a fast pace , believe me.
