My brushed finish Ti456 has now got quite a few polished areas due to cable rub, heel rub etc, and some surface scratching- is there anything I can do to restore the original finish?

I have used 3M scouring pads before to good effect. Quite coarse and burgundy in colour - I liked the outcome 🙂
