On my sons Defy. The original 8 speed short cage Claris is bent and needs replaced. I have a spare, though it's a long cage. Have popped it on and chain length is fine, even in big/big. Any issues with this, will shifting be less good ?

EOIT - Take the opportunity to replace the gear cables and shifting will be even better 😉
