[#5252941]

I've got an older style Saint (M810-2)22t-36t double and bashring setup at the moment, and i need to replace the chainrings. i can't get my head around how this all works so any help would be apreciated
1. does the larger chainring have to be bought with the bashring?
2. do i have to buy the same combo (i.e. 22t-36t)or can i go for something larger? maybe 24-38 or 26-40 as i just don't use the smaller ring at the moment

thanks in advance Andy

1. No - should be separate (bash bolted from outside the spider)
2. Needs same bcd (hole spacing) as your originals but they'll be common (104 and 64 I GUESS). Bigger one may not be protected by your bashring, if that matters to you

excellent, thankyou that's some good knowledge, the BCD is 104mm / 64mm

i'd searched for "saint chainring" and all it was bringing up was the 36t, 38t and 40t with the bashguard.
so hopefully i'll be alright getting something like a 24t and 38t xt rings and maybe a new bashguard
