Helping a mate out with his ebike - the charger's gone and he needs a new one, but the local distributors are being useless.
The bike's a Watt Boston, no longer made, about 3 years old. Apparently it has a Samsung battery; the charger's some chinese jobby. Manufacturer's not being helpful, local retailers no interest - what's his best bet for a replacement charger? I think buying an appropriate one would be fine, he's just not sure what spec or model he needs.
Thanks!
According to the Watt Bike website the charger is a SHC-8100L https://www.voltes.eu/products/watt-charger
Looks like a compatible version can be bought from Powertechnic https://powatechnic.com/product/pwt32001/cr22390/shc-8100lc?srsltid=AfmBOoqDlSny3c46GlONgE9ClIe2QeSsieZY6ic67Q3-wu4-4EPp3iO9
But always best to double check with them first to make sure it is compatible and also supplied with the correct charging plug and UK mains plug.
Ah fantastic find, thanks smudge! Will check it out
No worries, any problems please let me know and I will see what else I can find compatible.
Looks like it's the connector that's the issue - and it's quite eye-opening just how many different standards there are for ebike connections. We reckon it's an ST-3 connector he needs, so just working to narrow it down to the right charger specs and connector/ adaptor
