Its a bit more involved with the Float X.. and yes you will need to delve into the nitrogen charged area of the shock..

This guide uses an andreani machine (cost: £LOTS) to eliminate any trapped air in the damping oil when filling..
i think there must be a way of bleeding the air out without an andreani.. probably involving large syringes.. but ive yet to find a guide..

I have a brand new in my spares box if you haven't paid for one & want something a bit cheaper - it's no use to me any more.
