so i've got a new set of bearings for my lefty dlr ti and i'd though i'd have a go at replacing them but i'm a bit stuck on how you go about removing the fork from the frame.
i've had a look on the c'dale forums on mtbr.com but not had much luck in finding any info on this.
any tips or links to docs would be appreciated!

Never done it myself but I know you need specialist tools for a start. THAT always put me off when I had a lefty. Brilliant fork though and no different to most modern forks in that it's best to leave it to the professionals, really. Expensive but worth it for peace of mind !
Having said all that, I'm sure I saw something on the 'net - could try you tube...

its a piece of pi$$ to do this on my lefty max, just remove wheels and stem, loosen bolts and whack steerer with rubber mallet.
thought it would be similar with the ti-dlr fork ๐Ÿ™

edit: i should have phrased the original post better -
its the headset bearings i'm trying to replace rather than the internal needle bearings for the shok

If the clamps are bonded to the lefty then you can do it as you do the lefty max.

If the lower clamp is riveted to the steerer you first need to loosen off all bolts on the upper clamp, take stem off, take lockout lever off lefty, then tap the upper clamp off.

You can then whack the steerer with a rubber mallet and remove the fork.

Hope that helps.
