Right fellas, I have a question if I May? I busted my ankle almost 6 weeks ago and have an appointment tomorrow to see if i'll be alright to get the cast off. When I'm applying weight to my ankle it hurts...is this common for a newly healed bone or should there be no pain?
What are my chances that I'll be coming out of the cast? Is was a spiral fracture of Fibula about 3 incles in length ending about 2" above the ankle joint.
I have absolutely no medical training whatsoever but I Google'd "3 incle spiral fracture" and to be honest it's not looking good.
Hmm, not really finding anything for 3 incle spiral fracture....
Do what the Doc's say. I broke my left ankle twice in the space of 6 months when I was 19. It was never the same again, by the time I was in my mid twenties the pain was so bad I had to have the joint fused. This cured the pain in the ankle but sets up all kinds of problems elsewhere, knees, hips, lower back even in the heel.
My own fault really, should have taken the doc's advice and taken a year off rugby. I am sure you'll be fine, just do as your told!
