Hey all
I'm building a Bird Zero AM for my wife (who doesn't ride much) and for me to mess about on a bit when I want a smaller bike (I have a Zero 29 on order). I'm just getting back into riding after a 20 year gap, so won't be doing anything big for quite a while.
Anyhow, as this will either be my second bike or ridden very lightly by my wife, I'm considering getting some forks from CRC, as they have a great deal on the Recon's and the 35's at the moment.
I do want to keep the cost down (as I have just bought the 29er), but am also clueless about things.
Would the Recon's be ok? We're pretty small (she's 5'4 and I'm 5'7) and under 70kg (I won't say her weight for fear of death).
I'm guessing for the usage there won't be much between the 32's and the 35?
I'm trying to keep the build budget friendly as it's a "from scratch and I have no old parts to put on.
So far I have some Sun Ringle wheels, Avid Code R's and Race Face stem and bars, so forks are a bit of a must to get it rolling.
