sorry but looking for a
29er tyre
fast on tarmac/dry trails/fire road
predictable if it is going to slide if it is wett...ish
less than 2.1
need front and rear, so any recommendations for a set up
trying to keep it cheapish and light

currently running Bontrager 2.3 size 2.25 fr Specialized Ground control 2.1 rear like the set up but looking for something to eke out some more speed

Furious Fred?

Super narrow tyres have so little air volume you go slower over bumpy ground as you get bounced around so much.

Bontrager XR1 fastest tyre you'll ever run, and it'll put you on your arse even faster on the damp bits ๐Ÿ˜†

Very rapid, very light. If you know how to handle your bike, it'll get by in the damp too.

Saguaros come in a 2.0, set up tubeless really well and from experience of the 2.2 version they are fast, way better all-rounders than you should expect from the speed they roll at.
