[#1413243]

I'm looking for some full finger summer XC riding gloves to replace my favourite old Shimano XTR ones which I got from CRC years ago.

There seems to be hundreds on CRC / Wiggle etc but which ones are good?

I remember the XTR ones had small amount of gel padding on the palms and were very grippy.

I've had a few pairs of these, Troy Lee XCs:

Comfy and seem to wear pretty well.

Dakine Highwire.

I didn't get on with my Fox Sidewinders: I found them uncomfortable.

I really like these, very grippy with gel pads and very hard wearing 😀

For mitts I prefer Spesh BG gel ones, for full-finger I just bought some Giro Monaco's which are decent

Try a few pairs on. I recommend the ones that fit best and feel most comfortable. They'll get trashed eventually so not sure of the point of spending serious bucks

+1 for the Troy Lees. Watch the sizing though, they come up a bit smaller than what I'm used to.

Another vote for the Troy Lee - I went for the SE as they have a bit more padding on the backs, in case you tend to fall off/ ram your fingers into trees etc like me. They last really well (so they're nothing like 661s) and are comfortable. Be aware that the fingers are a little narrower than other makes, though (not tiny, mind), so size accordingly.
