Buying a new road bike that has tubeless ready tyres but comes with tubes. Can anyone recommend some values and sealant to use with them please? They're Swiss Side wheels going to be run about 60-70 psi if that makes any difference?
I use Muc-off big bore lite valves on all my bikes now inc. road (on 40mm and 50mm deep rims). They come in various sizes, I think it's XXL for 50mm but obviously double check if interested. They look a bit bulky and I guess weigh a few more grams than most alternatives but work really well, they don't have a traditional valve inside so don't clog with sealant. It took me a couple of goes to get out of the habit of just pulling the pump head off - the design means you need to turn the shut-off valve before else all the air (and sealant...) will shoot out!
You'll need something like this for sealant if running pressures that high

I usually roll my eyes when people complain about the prices of bike stuff, but £16 for enough to do two tyres, and a recommendation to replace every 3 months? That's insane.
My road bike has been fine with regular Stan's for nearly 10 years now - topped up roughly twice a year.
Stans valves and Peatys sealant on all my bikes, road and gravel, so far so good…about 3 years in..
Also, if it's new it may well come with the valves anyway - both of the tubeless-ready bikes I've bought new did.
Stans sealant has been perfect for my 35mm tyres.
I use Peaty's to good effect in 32mm road tyres at ~60psi, always seals well even when I've had some bigger flint/glass type cuts and I think the platelets help with that vs liquid-only sealants but I could be wrong!
Had tubeless valves come w my Fulcrum wheels. Run them tubeless w Stan's. 28mm tyres at 70ish psi
3 years and counting, renew sealant maybe once a year
I use Stan’s Race sealant as it is a bit thicker and better for the higher pressures that road tyres run at (I use the cheaper regularly Stan’s for my Mtb’s). I also have Fillmore valves on all my bikes. So much better than standard valves for airflow and lack of clogging.
