last time I bought some baggy shorts it was about 10 years ago and I got some Endura Humvee as these were so widely popular. These have been great shorts for loads of years apart from the liner not fitting too well and discarded shortly after purchase.

Can anyone recommend some new baggy shorts but maybe not quite as long in the leg. I don't mind if it comes with a liner or not as I am happy to get some dhb ones as I know these fit me well. Budget is about £30-40.

Madison, and your local shop will have them. Best shorts there are IMO.

Madison +1 - about £40 with liner for the ones I got recently. Would have been happy even without the liner.

Madison ones do look good. Will investigate those further. Any other options?

Morvelo Rise & Descend, they're more expensive then you've stated but worth it. http://www.morvelo.com/men/men-mtb/men-mtb-shorts
