It's time to replace my pads and would be grateful for recommendations. I've checked CRC and they've got Avid ones for £16 or Clarks for £6 are the Avid ones worth the extra?

Hi knottyknotty, I need to buy some elixir pads as well, I have heard some none-original can be difficult to install as they are too thick - I presume you have found they fit fine?

A2Z blue organic/kevlar are quite good, better than semi-metallic/organic superstar. Can be had for £7/8 pair. Cant say theyre as good as original avid, but Ive not ridden them enough to work that out yet

The superstar pads are a bit thicker, so you get some rotor-rub at first.... but this is easily remedied by sanding off the thick paint on the back of the pad: really easy and takes about 15 seconds
