Doing a bit of a bike maintenance course so I'd like to invest in a toolkit that would meet some basic home bike mechanic needs just to get me started. Looked at some like the Icetoolz one and buying individual stuff from the likes of superstar or would I be better forking out for some blingy Park stuff or the like? Cheers.

Good plan, maybe treat yourself to some Park cable cutters too.
Try to get a kit with a good set of reasonably long, ball-ended allen keys.
Park make some excellent kits. There to0ls may be expensive but are top quality, pretty much all I use in my shop apart from the odd cyclus tools.
Nowt wrong with icetoolz one especially if you get it cheap, I still use a similar version now, though stuff like the allen keys were replaced long ago. If you have a decathlon locally check out their tool kit too, as there basically identical & occasionally reduced/cheaper.
